Policy on Security Issues

Insofar as is necessary to ensue the security of the Particle Theory Group's computer system, the administrators of the system maintain the right to run password cracking programs, other programs designed to detect security holes and to monitor keystrokes in the event of a suspected break-in. Reasonable attempts shall be made to guarantee the privacy of users in such cases.

The administrators reserve the right to restrict connections to and from certain domains and to require the use of encryption and secure authentication techniques if, in their judgment, it is required for the security of the system.

In recognition of the fact that there are no perfectly secure systems, the administrators shall not be held liable for loss of data or other damages should the system become compromised.
